Since 2020, the demand for specific roll containers in this sector has significantly increased. Previously, Hoza specialized in metal load carriers and is therefore the partner in developing and producing roll containers to optimize logistical processes in the supply chain for mail and package delivery.
Package Processing
The shift in buying behavior towards more online shopping has resulted in an increasing demand for fast package delivery over the years. This leads to a growing need for efficient handling of packages. One of our clients used standardized roll containers and wooden pallets for transporting goods before our specific solution came into play; these are often moved around the industry using forklifts. These logistical means quickly go from point A to B for transport. Although it was less efficient with the roll containers and pallets that were used at the time, the work pace was high. The consequence was that many roll containers were damaged or broke down, leading to frequent disruptions and high costs.

Sustainability
Hoza, in collaboration with the client, developed a heavy-duty roll container that addresses daily handling challenges. The stable base and a strong nestable design are the key aspects of the roll container. The height of the wheels is also important. During transport and handling with a forklift, the wheels of standard roll containers would always get damaged because the forks of the forklift couldn't fit properly underneath.
With our solution, this process has improved significantly, and the transport of roll containers using a forklift has been greatly enhanced. Currently, Hoza has supplied around 7,000 roll containers for this case, downtime has drastically reduced, and the client is very satisfied.
